The Suuqiina's & Warfare By Honor

First Nations Monday Ministries welcomes Dr. Suuqiina and Rev. Qaumaniq Suuqiina this Wednesday Evening at 6:30 PM for a special presentation of "Warfare By Honor".

What's 'Warfare By Honor'? First of all, it is a book co-authored by Qaumaniq and Suuqiina which serves as a protocol handbook specific to the restoration of honor.

The Suuqiinas write in their introduction: "In this handbook, we attempt to persuade the reader to begin a process whereby the protocols, the traditions, the customs, and the taboos are carefully examined before attemps are made to influence cultures other than one's own. Since the Creator made the cultures, every culture is worthy of respect, honor, and understanding. A thorough knowledge and careful personal preparation about the culture being visited should be a foundational value common to all professing to know and follow the Creator."

This is just one of the subjects that Dr. Suuqiina will be teaching on this Wednesday evening. We encourage you to join us at 6:30 PM at the White Oak Grand Hotel and Business Center, 4824 Hwy 93 S., Kalispell, Montana. The evening will begin with praise and worship lead by David & Marie Fong, founders of Love Warriors, a music ministry based in Polson, MT. Then Dr. Suuqiina (Inuit), will share about various Native American/ Christian perspectives including 'healing the land', 'protocol' and 'cross-cultural reconciliation'. For more information, contact us at (406) 892-1355 or (406) 885-3435.

Ministry Update

We are so excited to see what our Creator, the Self-Existent and Eternal One, is doing among our First Nations people, our community and our family!

As the Scriptures declare, "God treated me with kindness. His power worked in me, and it became my job to spread the good news. I am the least important of all God's people. But God was kind and chose me to tell the Gentiles that because of Christ there are blessings that cannot be measured. God, who created everything, wanted me to help everyone understand the mysterious plan that had always been hidden in his mind. Then God would use the church to show the powers and authorities in the spiritual world that he has many different kinds of wisdom. God did this according to his eteral plan. And he was able to do what he had planned because of all that Christ Jesus our Lord had done. Christ now gives us courage and confidence, so that we can come to God by faith." Ephesians 3:7-12. (CEV)

Sometimes I am overwhelmed with feelings of awe and humility, excitement and joy, and even doubt and wonder as Yahweh calls me forward to (1) spread His word of hope among the 'lost' and (2) encourage the Church to stand in courage and confidence against the spiritual powers and authorities of darkness.

As our Father has revealed His heart, through His Son Jesus and by the power of His Holy Spirit, we have been obediently yielding to the molding and pruning of our lives and ministry. We have taken some small steps, by faith, in obedience to the Lord, that have begun to re-shape the role, vision and purpose of First Nations Monday. As we transition out of a 'support' role and into a 'leadership' role, the Lord has been opening doors of ministry.

In February, I had the wonderful opportunity to minister at the Billings Women's Prison during a secular Native American Spiritual Gathering. In March we hosted the Warriors for Christ! Dance and Drama team from Ft. Hall, Idaho. This week we will host Dr.. Suuqiina, co-director of Indigenous Messengers International. Then in May I plan to go to Spokane for a Dream Interpretation class and outreach hosted by Pastor Jeff & Joanne Doud.

In August is the second annual CONVOCATION OF EAGLES. This year's meeting is being hosted by Tom & Wilma Bob, TEOTTM Ministries. It will be August 28 - Sept 2 in Post Falls, Idaho at the Point Ross Bible Camp. There are absolutely no words to describe the awesome feeling of seeing the fruits of our labor from last year's COE. Our heart was to be (1) obedient to Jehovah as He called us to host the first COE and (2) be an inspiration to others, giving them the encouragement and validation they needed to carry the vision across the nation. PTL! We rejoice in His faithfulness to heal the broken hearted. Be sure to REGISTER ASAP.

Then in September we are hosting Morning Sun Yellow Pony for a 3-day Women's Healing Retreat. That will be Sept 9-11 at the Glacier Mountain Lodge, Glacier Bible Camp, Hungry Horse, Montana. Again, we are on our faces before the Lord, desiring to be obedient as vessels of His grace, mercy, deliverance and healing. Again, please Register ASAP.

SIBERIA. November we will head out to Siberia for the "Partnership for Shamanist People Groups" gathering. I am particularly excited about this meeting!! I've been invited by Alex & Yulia Newby, who are missionaries there. Alex writes: "It is in a city called Krasnoyarsk, and takes place on the 1st through the 5th of November, 2005. This conference's chief concern is reaching virtually all the native people groups or "small peoples" as they are often referred to in the Russian language. I am quite sure First Nations ministries would be effective among all native peoples here and amongst Russians too!" The Newbys and I are working together, taking the beginning steps in response to the Creator to open a doorway of ministry among the people of Siberia by First Nations People of North America!
