All Nations Fellowship Meeting in Columbia Falls
Beginning October 23, 2005 we will be hosting a weekly gathering in our home. To be more specific, we are planting a multi-cultural, multi-racial church.

We will meet Sunday mornings to share a meal, to join in worship, and to minister to one another in the context of a talking circle. Although this will not resemble the traditional Christian church, I will still serve as a pastor/ leader/ facilitator. The emphasis on being a servant/ shepherd/ steward. David will walk this out with me and together we will host this gathering.

We are taking this step with the blessing of Pastor Jeff & JoAnn Doud and Victorious Warriors For Christ Church in Spokane, WA. We are also partnering with the Rural Shepherds Network & the HomeFires Church Network based in Lakeside, MT.

David and I have been involved in home based fellowship meetings off and on for several years now. We received our early training and experience at Good News Fellowship in Daly City, CA. through the Home Cell Groups. We also have facilitated and hosted small group meetings under the leadership of local churches here in MT. The difference here, with this new gathering, is that this meeting will be an actual independent church, not a home meeting that is part of a larger church.

Join us beginning Oct. 23, 2005 at 10:00 AM in our home. Dave & Jeny Running Brook Covill, 455 Covill Lane, Columbia Falls, MT. (406) 892-1355.

Running Brook Ministries International - Formerly First Nations Monday
In addition to starting the church, we are also making some changes to the ministry.

In the coming months we will be establishing Running Brook Ministries International. This ministry will still have its heart in Native Ministry with additional emphasis and outreach focused on worldwide indigenous multi-cultural ministry. First Nations Monday will continue as a Native American prayer mobilization project. Across Turtle Island will continue as a Native American radio broadcast. Both of these will be ministries of Running Brook Ministries International. In addition, we will continue with hosting gatherings like Convocation of Eagles, the Healing Retreat with Morning Sun, and one-day meetings like the one we had with Suuqiina and Qaumaniq.

In the coming months we will work on establishing Running Brook Ministries International as a tax exempt non profit organization based in Montana, as well as establishing First Nations Monday as a DBA of RBMI.

COE 2005 & Healing Retreat UPDATE
As you know, the second annual Convocation of Eagles, "Soaring On The Clouds", was held August 28 - September 2 at the Ross Point Bible Camp in Post Falls, Idaho. There truly are no words to fully describe the beauty and wonder of our Creator, as He moved and had His being through us and around us.

On Monday I posted a brief email through Across Turtle Island, which corresponds with our radio broadcast. You can look at the text archive on the internet at: http://AcrossTurtleIsland.injesus.com . That will give you a brief look at part of our initial COE report highlighting the sweat lodge and the general theme of the meetings ... renewal and restoration.

In all the rush, I haven't even mentioned that the COE, for me, started in Coeur D Alene helping Wilma at a traditional Native wake/ funeral. Wilma's cousin's daughter was killed in an auto accident. Wilma was the head cook for all of the meals for 3 days of the wake and the funeral. It is my estimation that there were between 100-200 people at the long house at any one time over the course of 72 to 96 hours. Wilma and her crew provided three meals per day, as well as snacks. The day of the funeral we served a sit-down dinner. I had never been to a traditional funeral before, much less helped cook for one. It was a good experience for me and I am blessed to have been able to serve the families.

In the coming days I plan to post photographs from the COE meetings, as well as more dialog on the discussions we had. Not to mention the fun in the sun while taking in some summer time recreation on the river. Keep watch for the updates.

I returned from Idaho on Friday, Sept 2. On Monday (Labor Day), my family and I spent the day on Whitefish Lake. Then on Tuesday my daughter Emma had an emergency appendectomy. I praise my Lord and Savior for His perfect love and faithfulness. After being on the road for 12 out of 16 days, the crisis came while I was home. ( 3 days before our Women's Retreat!!). I don't even want to think what could have happened if this emergency happened while I was away and Dave was at work. Emma was home from surgery 24 hours later, on Wednesday Sept. 7. All is well. Praise the Lord our Healer.

Two days after Emma was home from surgery we began the Women's Healing Retreat with Morning Sun Yellow Pony. One of the many blessings was having Mauri Wilson join us from the Marysville, WA. area. She is such a blessing. She came down for the Aglow First Nations Womens gathering in Billings along with the outreach at Crow Fair with Jonathan Maracle. Then she went home.

Then Mauri came to Idaho for the Convocation of Eagles, making a stop at the Tacoma First Nations Gathering on her way back home. Then Mauri hopped on the train and came back to Montana for our Women's Retreat. She arrived early and helped us with all the food shopping!! I hope that more of you will have an opportunity to meet Mauri in the future. Pray for her and her family.

The Women's Retreat with Morning Sun was a huge success. Not only did people find emotional, mental and spiritual healing, but some people received physical healings, too. Praise the Lord!

There are several reasons why I enjoy and support Morning Sun and her ministry. What stands out to me as I write this letter is that she ministers 99% out of the Scriptures. Truly standing on the WORD and teaching others how to receive, trust and stand on the WORD for victory. In my experience, I have found that some of the greatest victories in my life come from receiving the bitter sweet revelation of myself, my 'issues' and God's divine power and purpose. Accepting revelation and applying truth to areas of my life has brought me through great victories. This is the type of ministry that Morning Sun facilitates. I encourage you to get to know her and her ministry. http://www.morningsunministries.com .
Divine Appointments

We were blessed to visit with Dan Mosley the other day. Dan and his wife Rhonda live and minister in Nevada. Dan is Paiute and has pastored on the reservation for many years. Now Dan and Rhonda, with their children Elmer and Monica Atlookan, minister in a less formal manner on the reservation, as well as travel with Lynda Prince and the 120 Drums.

Dan was on the Flathead Reservation for several days as part of a national meeting with EPA and tribal leaders discussing water rights issues. Dan spoke regarding biology issues that effect our land, water, fish and other wildlife. We were blessed that he took time out of his schedule to meet us for dinner. I particularly liked how the Lord puts meetings such as these together ...

Dave is the Vice President of the Flathead Building Association. He is also on the board of the national building association. The week before Dan came to Flathead from Reno, Dave was in Reno for a board meeting. Dave is also a general contractor and builder. (Covill and Basham Construction LLC). You can see how this made for interesting dinner conversation. (smile).

Dan - Thanks for thinking of us and visitting with us!
On the Horizon

HUNTING TRIP: First of all, Dave and Josh left today for a 12-day hunting trip. This will be their first time embarking on a bow-hunting trip. Josh is totally excited. Please keep them in prayer, interceding for their health, safety, bonding and of course a successful hunt!

JESUS VIDEO PROJECT MONTANA: Second, I am now on the Steering Committee for the Jesus Video Project in Montana, as well as serving as a regional coordinator. As regional coordinator, I am working with the outreach and distribution efforts of the Jesus Video DVD on the reservations. We are doing all that we can to see that the NATIVE AMERICAN version is included on the DVD. It will cost $10,000.00 to make changes on the DVD. So we are looking into the statistics of Montana, as well as Nationwide to show that these is indeed a VIABLE need to see that the NATIVE AMERICAN version of the Jesus Video is included on the DVD. Please pray for favor with Campus Crusade for Christ. Also pray for the Lord to provide the needed funds.

CONTRIBUTIONS for sending the DVD to the reservations and for the Native American version to be included on the Jesus Video can be sent to: JVP Montana, PO BOX 89, Belgrade, MT 59714. Send a note that says "JVP Montana - Native American Region".

RUSSIA: On another note, I have postponed my trip to Russia. Although, I feel responsible in not getting my visa in order, I think ultimately it was not the right timing. I believe with all of my heart the Lord was saying 'wait'. So I am working with the people there on something for 2006.

OCTOBER 9: On Sunday October 9th I will be sharing at a church in Lakeside that meets in the home of Chuck and Susan Cushman. Chuck and Susan are very instrumental in the Rural Shepherds Network and the Homefires Church Network. This will be a very informal time of sharing compared to the times I have shared in other local area churches. I am looking forward to it!!

OUR NEW CHURCH: As we mentioned before, we will begin hosting meetings in our home on October 23.

FLORDIA: As for the future, we are planning a trip to Florida with the building association in January.

Also we have been asked to prayerfully consider some other international trips in 2006. Please pray with us that the Lord's will and good purposes will be accomplished. Pray that He will guide our paths and that the 2006 schedule will all fall into place according to His plan and for His glory.
