"Prayer for Native Americans Taken to New Level"

Columbia Falls, MT - More and more believers are feeling a burden to pray on a regular basis for First Nations' people, believers, and ministries.  Over recent years, the month of November has been devoted to a concerted focus on these people groups.  But a number of ministries have recently established "First Nations Monday" as a way of establishing an ongoing emphasis on the needs of First Nations.

Jeny Covill, the founder and prayer coordinator of First Nations Monday, Inc., has taken the lead in producing materials and promoting the ministry.  A member of the Amonsoquath Tribe (Cherokee), Covill has already developed a number of resources to encourage focused prayer for First Nations.

The First Nations Monday Prayer Guide.  This 52-week prayer guide offers a special emphasis for each week and provides scriptures to pray.  The guide is available as a booklet form or on the website.

The Websitewww.firstnationsmonday.com offers information on the variety of ministries serving First Nations' people. Prayer requests for and links to a number of those ministries are available.  The site also provides downloadable copies of the weekly prayer guide.  First Nations Monday, Inc. has made web hosting and web networks (e-groups) available to First Nations Ministries.

Monday Prayer Alert.  An e-mail newsletter, which provides updated information pertaining to First Nations Monday, is also available.
